About Jacob Tanner

When I'm not painting I spend my time wandering in the dark beneath double yellow lines and the litter of street signs, slinging flashlights and paint to the most forbidden and forgotten buildings. I am a graphic Illustrator and Muralist born and bred in Columbus, Ohio, inspired by the people and places I see around my city. My choice mediums are very permenent so rather than working to deface the places I explore, I paint subject matter that interacts with the environment, creating pictures that coinside with their surroundings. In this, my paintings become one with the architecture, living and deteriorating as the structure does.
